DR PHILIPPA (PIPPA) STABLES GP PARTNER

MB ChB (Bristol 1988) DCH MRCGP

Dr Stables has been a GP since 1992. She loves the variety of General Practice and has a special interest in teaching and training. She has children and hobbies which include riding, gardening, camping and generally being out of doors.

DR MARGARET (MAGS) O'DONOVAN GP PARTNER

MB BCh BAO (Cork 1987) DCH DRCOG MRCGP

Dr O'Donovan graduated from University College Cork in 1987 and initially worked in London in paediatrics. She trained as a GP after moving to Bristol in 1999 and joined Lodgeside Surgery in 2003. She spends her free time with her family in Bristol and her extended family in the South West of Ireland.

DR SENTHIRU (CHENDA) SIVALOGANATHAN GP PARTNER

MD (Tver 1996) DCH DRCOG DFSRH MRCGP

Dr Sivaloganathan is multilingual, being fluent in Tamil, Singhala and Russian. She has special interests in Gynaecology, Sexual Health, Paediatrics and Contraception. Her personal interests include Indian Classical music, Bharatanatyam (a form of South Indian classical dance), Interior design/decor and gardening.

DR KERRIE WAINWRIGHT GP PARTNER

MA (Oxon) BMBCh (Oxford 2004) MRCGP

Dr Wainwright joined the practice as Dr Gray, changing her name on marriage in April 2013. She became a GP partner in December 2012, having worked here as a GP for the 6 months prior. Before joining the practice she held GP posts in the Bath area. Her specialist areas are Medical education and psychiatry.

DR CHRIS TASKER GP PARTNER

BM BS (Nottingham 2005) BMedSci DCH

Dr Tasker joined the practice as a partner in April 2013, replacing the retiring partner, Dr Wanda Owen. He trained in Nottingham before moving to the South West to complete his hospital rotations. Prior to joining the practice he worked as a GP in both Wiltshire and South Bristol. He particularly enjoys paediatrics and musculoskeletal medicine.

DR ANDY LYON GP PARTNER

Dr Lyon joined the practice as a partner in July 2017, replacing Dr Michael Armstrong. Before joining the practice he worked as a GP Partner in Portishead.

DR ELLIE CARSLAKE GP PARTNER

MB BS (London 2003) MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH

Dr Carslake joined the practice as a partner in April 2019, ahead of the retirement of Dr Julia Barry-Braunthal in the May. She previously worked for 9 years as a GP in Hanham, working mainly in the female prison as the medical lead. She has lots of experience in sexual health and contraception and also in substance misuse from this role.

DR CARLY LAWRENCE GP PARTNER

MB ChB (Birmingham 2005) MRCGP

Dr Lawrence first worked at St George Health Centre in 2015-16, taking up a salaried GP post at Lodgeside Surgery prior to the April 2018 merger of the two practices to form Fireclay Health. She became a GP Partner as of 1/10/2020.

Dr Bromy joined the practice in September 2019 after completing her final year of GP training with us.

DR VICKY HIBBERT

MB ChB (Bristol 1991) DRCOG

Dr Hibbert has worked at the practice since 2002. She has 2 children and outside of work enjoys swimming and walking, gardening and cooking.

Dr Pereira joined the practice in 2004. Her clinical interests are in mental health, gynaecology and adolescent medicine.

Dr Pope joined the practice in February 2015.

Dr Stirling joined the practice in February 2021 after working for us as a locum GP. Her first name is pronounced 'Sho-na'

Dr Sykes has worked at the practice since 2009, having completed her training in Sheffield. Her clinical interests are Women’s Health, Mental Wellbeing and Adolescent Health. She now feels at home in Bristol and when not at work can be found running, baking or exploring the local area with her family.

DR PETE TORRANCE

MB ChB MRCGP

Dr Pete Torrance joined the practice in 2019. Prior to this he worked as a GP in Wiltshire. He has an interest in dermoscopy and joint injections. In other roles, he works as a crowd doctor for Ashton Gate Stadium and is part of the Mental Health and wellbeing Integrated Network Team. When not working he enjoys time with his family, football and is actively involved in his local church.

Dr Warburton was a GP registrar at St George in 2017, returning to the practice as a salaried GP in September 2020 after completing his training. He lives in Bristol with his young family.

Dr Price joined the practice in March 2024 after completing her GP training in Southampton. She has a clinical interest in paediatrics.

Alex is a Prescribing Nurse Practitioner. She provides daily Urgent Care visits to housebound patients. She also undertakes Dementia reviews at the surgery.

FRAN IVEY

Fran is an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner. She provides daily Urgent Care triage and assessment for same day emergency care. She also undertakes Urgent Care visits to housebound patients. She also undertakes learning disability reviews at the surgery.

JO BROGAN

Jo is a Prescribing Nurse Practitioner. She delivers respiratory (asthma & COPD), minor illness & triage appointments, sexual health services, including coil & implant fitting.

CARLIE JOHNSON

Carlie is a Practice Nurse. She delivers long term condition reviews in Asthma & COPD. Carlie also supports treatment room delivering dressings, injections including child imms & travel service, smears and contraceptive pills checks.

MANDY WILLMOTT

Mandy is a Prescribing Nurse Practitioner. She delivers Long Term Condition reviews (Diabetes, Cardiovascular, Hypertension, Asthma), minor illness & triage appointments. She is Infection Control Lead for the practice.

Alison is a Practice Nurse. She delivers Long Term Condition reviews (Diabetes, Cardiovascular, Hypertension, Asthma). She supports the Treatment Room in the delivery of general nursing care, e.g. dressings & injections.

Charmaine is a Treatment Room Nurse. She delivers dressings, injections including child imms & travel service, smears and contraceptive pill checks.

Tracy is an HCA who works closely with the Treatment Room to deliver simple dressings, spirometry testing, ECGs & Doppler Testing, NHS Health Checks & Exercise and Prescription referrals.

Leane is a Phlebotomist who undertakes blood tests as requested by GPs.

Allison is a Phlebotomist/HCA who undertakes blood tests as requested by GPs and for Long Term Condition reviews. She also undertakes blood pressure readings and ECGs.

Sandra is an HCA who undertakes blood tests as requested by GPs and for Long Term Condition reviews. She also undertakes blood pressure readings, ECGs & Doppler testing, some injections & vaccines.

Sharron is an HCA who undertakes blood tests as requested by GPs and for Long Term Condition reviews. She also undertakes blood pressure readings, ECGs & Doppler testing, some injections & vaccines.

Lesley is an HCA who undertakes blood tests as requested by GPs and for Long Term Condition reviews. She also undertakes blood pressure readings, ECGs, some injections & vaccines and simple dressings.

SAMANTHA LIGHT

Samantha joined Fireclay Health in April 2018. Her background is in community pharmacy, having managed a High St Pharmacy for 19 years. She is really enjoying the challenge of General Practice and having more of a clinical role working with patients.

SAMIM SADID

Samim is a PCN Pharmacist who works across Fireclay and our PCN partner, Old School Surgery. With a background in community pharmacy, he enjoys speaking to patients and delivers heart failure, CKD, hypertension and CHD reviews

Shireen joined Fireclay Health in October 2020 and is a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber. Prior to this she worked in secondary care for 9 years and was the Lead Pharmacist for Acute Medicine. Shireen also spent 4 years teaching undergraduate pharmacy and medical students in the East Midlands. Shireen is enjoying her current role in primary care and has a special interest in heart failure / cardiology. She delivers structured medication reviews alongside long term condition reviews

Laura is a Practice Pharmacist who delivers heart failure, CKD, hypertension and CHD reviews.

SUZANNE NORMAN

Suzanne is a Pharmacy Technician who works under the supervision of our Pharmacists. Speaking with patients offering advice on how to best manage their medicines.

RHYS GEORGE

Rhys is a clinical pharmacist who works between Fireclay Health and Old School Surgery. His working background is from secondary care as a ward-based rotational pharmacist. He enjoys the variety of work in primary care and having the opportunity to closely work with patients to review and optimise their treatment, ensuring the best possible care.

Fireclay Health & Old School Surgery together form the FOSS Primary Care Network which employs staff to work across both practices

JOSH TIPPING PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Josh is a PCN First Contact Physio who can assess and manage musculoskeletal conditions. Josh can also perform joint injections.

KATE UNDERWOOD CARE CO-ORDINATOR

Kate is a PCN Care Co-ordinator who specialises in looking after our patients with learning disabilities. Kate is the primary contact for our patients with learning disabilities and their carers and ensures that that all appointments for annual reviews are booked as well as any other appointments they may need.

NATALIE WELSH CARE CO-ORDINATOR

Natalie is a PCN Care Co-ordinator who oversees the needs of our housebound patients and patients with Dementia. She ensures that these patients are reviewed annually for their medical conditions and is responsible for arranging seasonal vaccinations for our housebound patients.

STACEY HITCHCOCK SOCIAL PRESCRIBER

Stacey has worked as an Independent Social Prescriber for the past 5 years but has now joined us here at Fireclay Health. She is very excited to be part of the team and is looking forward to developing the service for our patients. Social Prescribing specialises in assisting patients to access support within the local community to enable greater wellbeing.

MELINDA HARTMAN

Practice Manager

Melinda takes overall management responsibility for the Nursing team and HR function; she works full-time across both the St George and Lodgeside sites.

KATHRYN THOMPSON

Practice Manager

Kathryn takes overall management responsibility for finance, the GP and Medicines Management team and patient service; she is usually based at our Lodgeside surgery.

ALEX BOYD

Operations Manager

Alex started work at St George Health Centre in November 2005. After progressing through a variety of roles, she now works as Operations Manager, managing the practice administration function and ensuring processes work effectively.

SARAH WILSON

Operations Manager

Sarah joined the practice in April 2014 as a Receptionist. After progressing through a variety of roles, she now works full time as Operations Manager and oversees the Reception Team across both sites and is based in our Reception Hub at St George.

Reception

The reception service is provided by a large team of mostly part-time receptionists who man the front desk and switchboard at each site during practice opening hours. A receptionist's job is multi-skilled and varied and entails far more than simply booking appointments and answering phones. They aim to ensure that all patients' and visitors' needs are met.

Medical Administration

Our Medical Administrators have duties including scanning and filing electronic documents to the patient record, together with summarising and coding clinical information into the patient record.

Medical Secretaries

Our secretarial team are responsible for preparing and sending all referrals, processing correspondence, reports and other documents.
